Wir faktorisieren die linke Seite der Gleichung, nachdem wir den Faktor x+3 in beiden Termen haben

(x+3)(x−1)−(x+3)(2x−9)=(x+3)(x−1)−(2x−9)=(x+3)(x−1−2x+9)=(x+3)(−x+8).

Dies ergibt die Gleichung

(x+3)(−x+8)=0

mit den Wurzeln x=−3 und x=8.


Wir kontrollieren, ob x=8 eine Lösung ist:

Linke Seite=(8+3)(8−1)−(8+3)(28−9)=117−117=0=Rechte Seite.
