Damit man die p q Formel anwenden kann, muss der Koeffizient, der vor x2steht, 1 sein.Also dividieren wir die Gleichung durch 4 und erhalten: x2−7x+413=0

Nach der p-q-Formel gilt:

x=−2p2p2−q 

Hier ist p=-7 und q=413.Also hat die Gleichung folgende Lösungen:

x=−2−7+2−72−(413)=213 

und

x=−2−7−2−72−413=21
