(We only remark on a fault the first time it occurs.)

  1. All displayed math formulas should be indented.
  2. Write the math formula inside a <math> tag.
  3. Commands start with a backslash (\) in TeX. Therefore, write \tan and not tan. Arguments to trigonometric functions should be written without parentheses, i.e. \tan x and not \tan(x).
  4. Don't hack your own symbols. Use \displaystyle \Leftrightarrow (\Leftrightarrow in TeX).
  5. This line is too long. Break it into two lines (and add som explanatory text between the lines).
  6. If you cancel \displaystyle \sin^2x you must assume that \displaystyle \sin x\not=0, because you might otherwise lose solutions. Make sure you state this important assumption (and don't forget to treat the special case \displaystyle \sin x=0 later on).
  7. Where did the right-hand side go? Also, end the sentence with a full stop after the equation.
