(We only remark on a fault the first time it occurs.)
- All displayed math formulas should be indented.
- A numeric fractions like ½ should be written as a small fraction \displaystyle \textstyle\frac{1}{2} and not as large fraction \displaystyle \frac{1}{2}.
- Remove redundant multiplication sign.
- It is a mathematical error to write \displaystyle \cos x^2 when you really mean \displaystyle \cos^2x.
- Remove the initial "---". It is probably used to emphasize the text and separate it from the maths, but if you indent the displayed equations this is not needed.
- Remove redundant parentheses.
- Remove redundant colon.
- End the sentence with a full stop after the displyed equation.
