<li>Write the math formula inside a <tt><nowiki><math></nowiki></tt> tag.</li>
<li>Commands start with a backslash (\) in TeX. Therefore, write <tt>\tan</tt> and not <tt>tan</tt>. Arguments to trigonometric functions should be written without parentheses, i.e. <tt>\tan x</tt> and not <tt>\tan(x)</tt>.</li>
